Proceeds from our Rain and Snow Insurance may be used to rent a tent, for snowplow fees, or any expenses that you incur due to rain and/or snow at your event.
Rainy Day Scenario: You purchase $25,000 in RVNA Weather Insurance coverage. If it rains at the measuring National Weather Station the amount of rain you selected during the covered time period, we will send you a check for $25,000.
RVNA Weather Insurance covers your event for any rainfall or snowfall up to the limits you select during the selected time period. RVNA Weather Insurance offers levels of coverage from $2,500 to $50,000. Using our online system you will select options including the limit of coverage, the day and times of your event, and the amount of rainfall and/or snowfall. During your event, if it rains or snows at the measuring National Weather Station the amount you selected, your weather insurance will be in effect and we will send you a check for the limit you selected.
Things you need to know:
- RVNA Weather Insurance can be purchased up to one year in advance but no later than 15 days prior to the event.
- All rainfall and snow is measured through local Weather Stations specified on the policy. A Weather Station is an active government-controlled site that records rainfall to the nearest 1/100" on an hourly basis and records snowfall to the nearest 1/10" on a daily basis.
- RVNA Weather Insurance is covered on the day of your event for any three or six hour time period you select when purchasing the insurance.

We offer coverage for rain and snow. Coverage is for a selected three or six hour period on the day of the event. We currently offer coverage nationwide. - Where is the weather measured?
All rainfall and snow is measured through local Weather Stations. A Weather Station is an active government-controlled site that records rainfall to the nearest 1/100" on an hourly basis and records snowfall to the nearest 1/10" on a daily basis. Most of the weather stations that provide data are at airports, but some are located at parks, university campuses, or military bases. - How early in advance of my coverage start date can I purchase coverage?
